Crocrodile hunting

Sorry for the LATEEEEEEEEEEEEE entry but I've been living like a nomad/caveman for the past few months. I'm currently having peripheral postings in Stirling. I can't believe the hospital banned facebook! SO deprived~!!! To make things worse, I have no internet back home. (Stupid virgin media. Made us wait forever!!!)

Before I came back to Glasgow from Sibu, I passed by KL for some shopping. Met up with JuJu, Keat Seong and Chewn Bin in MidValley's delicious for some brownie. UNFORTUNATELY, when we met, JuJu's slippers snapped! BOTH SIDES!

*tee hee*

What to do?
Walk around bare-footed in Midvalley!

Old slippers into the bin

Being an artist, JuJu had always wanted pink cros. So off we went to Cros. Too bad the pink cros were 50sizes too big! So he had to go for BRIGHT FLASHING RED cros.

JuJu and the RED cros lived happily ever after.

Funny weird brother

You know how siblings are...always fighting and trying to annoy each other! It's the same for me and my lil brother.

I'm always laughing at how small his eyes are. The typical, "Can you see me?" joke over and over again! Anyway, this is his revenge~

Giving me small eyes and a huge forehead! *oops, my forehead is really that big*
My lil sis became a victim as well! LOL
Plus, giving himself a BIGGER nose???

Couldn't stop laughing when I saw this in his blog of 2 post! hehehe...

Hiao bo gang

Back in my high school days, when I used to join Scouts, one girl; Miss Chai Ing decided to start a gang. We called it....HIAO BO GANG! kidding..

I had no idea how it started but we got so used to calling each other HIAO BO..the nickname kinda got stuck even after 5 years. Imagine meeting up then everyone calling each other HIAO BO. Aw...good memories~

Hiao Bo Gang Reunion at Everwin Medan Selera

Sad to say...all of us grew fat! I was lucky, coz I just had swine flu and my weight dropped so much they thought I never change! Woohoo~ Yippe Swine Flu!

Most of them had started working or graduating soon. But when we met up, it's as if we never age and still act like what we were back when we're 17/18! So loud and naughty!

Went singing in Kingwood. Had no idea I have many talented friends. Si-bu nue, chion ko meh suo nue~~~

Miss the good old days in Scout where we try to sneak out then almost getting kicked out..and all the camps, games, stupid cheers, silly seniors, stupid marching, blasting sun, super tanned days~
Totally AWESOME!

It was tremendous joy meeting up with them. Some of the Hiao Bo Gang members are missing including our leader and founder, Chai Ing.

AirAsiaX Review

This post is specially dedicated to Yam Yau

I don't know where to start. My flight was from Kuala Lumpur to London Stansted. It was suppose to take about 14hours but I think we arrived 1 hour earlier.

The seat was bearable. Sorry, I forgot to try if the seats was able to lean back but I think it should be able to? I'm a nice person~ I don't take other people's space~!hehe! =p

There was lots of leg space. Even with my long and fat legs, there's still room!!! I feel it's better than Fly Emirates' crampy seats. My knees didn't feel particularly sore even after 13 hours of flight but I remember when I sat Fly Emirates, my knees were so close to the front seat and I had cramps after 7hours flight.

I ordered for the Malaysian Meal which was RM25. There were 2 meals served.

1st meal - Chicken Bryani

It's really spicy. I can't describe if it's nice or not because I don't like spicy food. I was gobbling it down real fast so that my mouth doesn't burn! We were given a bottle of mineral water as well. But I believe that for AirAsia, we're allowed to bring bottled water into the plane. I was so dumb, I threw away my bottle before boarding.

2nd meal - Nasi Lemak

It was not too bad. I tried to separate my rice from the sambal, plus tried 'cleaning' the chicken and egg of the sambal before eating it. The nuts and ikan bilis were nice~

I took down the menu for Australia as well, that's for you 'gossip boy'!!! XOXO

I was taking the window seat. I felt quite insecure because I can see the filmsy wing! I don't think it's suppose to flap! There were parts when it's quite turbulent and the wing was so unrigid! Scary scary~ I wonder how old is the plane? Possible of metal fatigue?

There's no TV as well. But you can buy like 7hours worth of battery time for a portable TV for bout RM30. I didn't bother to. I just spent almost all the time sleeping.

Can't think of what else to write. I'm open to questioning~

Borneo Fest

I'm back home in Sibu!!!!

I came back just in time for the Borneo Fest. For some reason, I'm unable to load any pictures into the computer from my camera. So it's gonna be a photo-less post.

Anyway, like all festivals, there's lots of food involved. My sister was singing in the school choir for the closing ceremony. There were LOTS of people...bla bla bla..it was really crowded bla bla bla...

I went there with my mom. We were walking along the stores as if we're dragged by the crowd. Suddenly I felt someone grabbing my butt. Like literally SQUEEZING my butt!!! TAMADE! I would not stand being molested and not do anything.

My instant response...I GRABBED the hand of the offender before he was able to let go of my butt. Then I looked back...WALAU...it was toddler! A boy...at most 5 years old?

Kids nowadays~

I'm a survivor

Yep, I had SWINE FLU a couple of weeks ago!

Signs and symptoms for me include;
fever, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, chills, headache, fatigue and body aches.

But I'm well now! Don't run away from me!!! Really!!! Serious~ I've been proclaimed NON-INFECTIVE by health professionals!
*For those who avoided me...Now I know who my true friends are!LOL*

Honestly I had a rough couple of weeks just right before I caught swine flu. With the exams, then the exam results, friendship, finding a new flat, then suddenly being attacked on my health! It was a huge struggle! In those moments, often I ask...'WHY ME?!?' When I look back now, I feel silly for being so pitiful and hateful of life! Must always look at the bigger picture~ There's always a silver lining behind every dark cloud.

FYI, swine flu is not as scary as it seems! I wouldn't think I had swine flu until my nose and throat swap came back positive. I feel guilty bout contributing to the statistics.

Anyway swine flu is overated. It's been said that it might become the 4th commonest cause of flu. Swine flu is generally widely feared because of it's unpredictable nature. It's unstable and might mutate to something more fatal. I'm not exactly sure of what was written but they were afraid that the virus might somehow mutate with other viruses..imagine a combination of avian flu and swine flu. Then there might just be another outbreak similar to SARS.

Swine flu is not FATAL. I'm alive and well..It's only dangerous to the young, elderly or immunocompromised. I have no idea how I got infected.

But at least I know that I'm now immuned to H1N1 virus! yipee~ HA...I can breath freely without a mask on the plane while going back later this week! Then I can laugh at YOU for laughing at me..when you're suffocating wearing the stupid mask! LOL

I celebrated getting better by REVENGE of coz!
Ate lots of PORK!
HA! TAKE THAT you PIGGIES!!!

To the people I ALMOST infected, SO sorry! I didn't know I had swine flu! But I'm pretty sure I took all the necessary precautions. Do no harm~

If you caught swine flu...don't worry, unless you're very young, very old or immunocompromised. Just take lots of fluids and LOTS of rest. Take some paracetamol. Unless you're VERY CURIOUS, try to avoid taking the nose/throat swap. Terrible feeling! GAGGED!
Some more the swap results only came out after I've recovered. So I wasn't given TAMIFLU.

TAKE CARE!!!

LOST

I feel very lost right now.

After Ugly Betty's season ended, along with my many other korean, hong kong, american...bla bla bla series, I felt totally lost!
Would you be kind enough to introduce me to a new series? NO, I'm NOT interested in Gossip girl, OC, One Tree Hill, Lost or ANY Taiwanese drama.

Anyway, I'm watching movies most of the time now to fill in the gap until I found the perfect drama to follow.
One of the few movies that I absolutely love....
Mr Vampire

I finally found the website to watch all these old hong kong vampire movies!!!

Totally awesome and hilarious! The sound effects are just so funny!!!

Don't you just love seeing the oriental vampire jumping around trying to suck human's blood???It's funny how they can just freeze when someone sticks some inscribed yellow paper on the head. I remember back in the days doing this to my cousins when I had no strength to fight back. I would write STOP then stick the paper on their forehead with my saliva! Doesn't really work...usually they would get more aggravated and chase me even more fiercely!

I assure you...it's not scary. I'm not one who likes horror movies, but this 'horror' movie is definitely worth watching!

3 minute song

Just recently I found this contemporary christian singer, Josh Wilson. His songs are just the type I like. His voice reminds me of Kris Allen. There's this particular song I can listen to for like a billion times.

3 minutes song

I tried to write a song
And keep it 3 minutes long
Get in, get out, nobody gets hurt
And I tried a thousand times
To fit God between the lines
But I'm finding out that doesn't really work

I just don't have the words to say
Cause words only get in my way

I must apologize, I have the hardest time
Finding something to define a God that I can't define
And even if I could, it would take way too long
If all I've got is a 3 minute song

I've got a hundred metaphors
And if I had a million more
I could never ever seem to sum this up
Besides, how can some melody
Communicate eternity
It's like trying to fit the ocean in a cup

I'll never find the words to say
Cause words only get in my way

I would like to dumb this down to 3 chords or maybe 4
But I've tried and I can't and I won't cause there will always be more

So I apologize
I can't seem to get it right

Britain's Got Talent Live Tour

It was AWESOME!!!

I'm so in love with the show~

I was sitting WAY behind, so I couldn't see very clearly but it was definitely still WORTH IT~

DJ Talent started the show. He was really shinny!

When I say 'BRITAIN', you say 'TALENT'. Britain's got talent, it is the DJ TALENT!
He had everyone shouting along with him. It was really funny!
My friends were so excited that he was there. He didn't made it into the finals yet made an appearance.

Another semifinalist who was there...
Darth Jackson

His dance was so so..but he had FLAWLESS to be his backup dancers dressed in the white suits!

We were hoping to see the human saxophone. When I say we..I meant the guys, Z and Justin. I thought the human saxophone is like the greatest joke to Scotland. He told Simon, "I think this is what Simon has been looking for. You can't stop the trend!" LOL! But he was not there...

How can this be a talent? Almost everyone can blow their nose to a tune. But he has GUTS!

My favourite act for the night would have to be
SHAUN SMITH

rugby player/singer

When he went on stage..I felt like I was 16 again!

When the host introduced him, he said that he had Biology exams a few days after the BGT show. Asked if any girls out there would want to be his Biology tutor...Woah...I JUMPED FROM MY SEAT AND STARTED WAVING FRANTICALLY SCREAMING FOR ATTENTION!!!wuahahahaha...It was totally impulse!

His voice was so AWESOME! He sang like 3 songs, 2 from his audition and semifinal performance then a new song. I was so totally melted by his voice..I felt he was singing to me alone~

I must admit my love for music is very shallow..mostly depended on the apperance of the person making the music...but I thought Julian Smith the REAL saxophone player was really good.

The sensation was totally different LIVE compared to listening on tele. He deserved to be No.3

Stavros Flatley

This duo is really amazing. I think what they need to do is to maintain fat! Love their great sense of humour.

FLAWLESS

They were really good. In fact, I feel they were not given enough credit. They were awesome. Their technic and dance skills might I say...are better than DIVERSITY. They made good usage of the stage space, the flips and all..they were great! I believe it's just that they lose out in choreography and the music effects.

I didn't love 2 grand. It just happened that the grandpa is a sweet person. I was devasted when they made it into the finals instead of Callum.

Shaheen
was adorable. But I thought he was shouting most of the time...And he couldn't maintain the high voice constantly but who could say no to his lovable dimples?

I love AIDAN DAVIS

There's this part when the host asked to see the audience's banners. Then there's this little girl with a banner "I heart Aidan". Then she was asked to go on stage. The host kept the banner. Then after Aidan's performance, the host asked the girl to go on stage again. Said wanna return her banner, then Aidan came out with the banner...the girl RAN while SCREAMING..then hugged MY Aidan Davis. People were cheering..HA! I don't even wanna clap my hands! JEALOUS!!!!

DIVERSITY being the big winner for BGT they perform a couple of times.

I love Perri..the cute guy with huge hair!

There's an act where the 4 of the youngest boys, 2 from diversity including my Perri, Aidan Davis and Shaheen performed together. Shaheen sang while the other 3 were dancing. It was SO SO SO CUTE!!!

Hollie Steel was really really really good. She improved SO much. She was dancing and swinging around the stage while singing. Her voice drowned out the grand daughter from 2 grand when they were performing together. She's just magic!

Not forgetting
SUSAN BOYLE

She's just such an inspiration.
Glasgow cheered SO loudly for her. The uncle sitting next to us was grinning from ear to ear when she went on and he was shouting and screaming for her. I'm like OMG! Imagine my grandpa was there screaming for maybe erm...Faye Wong? It just tickles me!

My friends..meaning the guys, don't really like Susan Boyle. Even before hand, they said they wanted to go there and BOO her. True enough, they did it...I was freaking scared. I looked around, we're the only chinese I see in the entire centre..and EVERYBODY loves Susan Boyle.
Anyhow, she was mesmerizing.
